The Better Life InstituteLearn More About Us

Introduction

In today’s society we have neighbors, friends and family members suffering great pain, in many cases needlessly, with little hope of treatment or recovery. Conditions such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, depression, stress and anxiety, chronic fatigue, disorders of the intestinal tract, autoimmune disorders and others are often misdiagnosed and over-medicated by an empathetic medical community trained to treat painful symptoms, but rarely root cause. Many folks who struggle with these issues have lost hope due to a lack of acceptable long-term answers.

Unfortunately, the number of folks who fit in this category is growing; one of the great irony’s of our day. Medicine is more advanced and more capable than at any time in history, with constant breakthroughs and advancements in technology and treatment, but has failed to halt the pain epidemic. Generally the reasons for the related pain symptoms fall outside of the traditionally accepted purview of the medical community who, often, lack the knowledge and training necessary to address causality instead of simply masking symptoms. The reality is that there are good long-term answers and that you can get well.

Our Success

What we do at the Better Life Institute is not new. It's been around for years and has a long history of resolving these kinds of chronic conditions. In fact empirical studies have shown that more than 80% of patients are able to resolve their symptoms completely without having to continue taking medicine. You may wonder why, with those kinds of results, you (or you doctor) haven't heard of these treatments or techniques before. Well, you probably have, we’re talking about self-management through nutrition, exercise, physical therapy and massage, stress skills, and emotional, mental and spiritual awareness, but the medical world still thinks in symptomatic format. It’s only by combining these methods in a single Whole-Body approach that permanent healing can actually take root. These solutions are common sense, but the old dogma and economics of the medical and pharmaceutical community have made it difficult to make them mainstream.

Importantly, we remove you from your current environment to one focused on healing for 19 days. Then we bring together a wide range of practitioners who work in concert to address your health issues from all of these angles, with one objective in mind; to get you well. It is amazingly effective.

There are far too many people suffering needlessly because they simply don't know where to find the answers. At the Better Life Institute we recognize this great need, one that is growing, and it is our mission to provide a real, long-term healing solution.

You've finally found what you're looking for. Give us three weeks and well show you how you can be well!

An underlying philosophy to her psychotherapeutic work is the understanding of how the mind and body work together, or sometimes against itself which creates an imbalance that makes life much harder for individuals and their loved ones. She exercises great compassion and care when helping clients to find a balance between what their heart feels, and their head believes.

When Nancy isn't engaged in therapy, she spends some of her free time teaching at the University of Phoenix as a professor for the counseling and psychology departments. She loves to hike and explore slot canyons, for which Southern Utah provides ample access. She has bungee jumped a dizzying total of 40 times and she loves being with her growing family. Nancy loves to swim, scuba dive and explore Mother Nature’s endless wonders.
